Settings
Settings is where company-wide configuration lives — your company profile, plan, access groups, integrations (AI keys, email, payments), templates, and AI instructions.
Only admins and the company owner can access most of Settings; specific sections gate on permission flags so you can delegate one area without exposing everything.
Step-by-step
- 1Open Settings
Click your avatar in the top right → Settings. The page is organized into tabs — Company, Plan, Access groups, Integrations, Templates, AI instructions.
- 2Update your company profile
Company tab → set logo, name, address, GST/VAT number, default currency, and time zone. These appear on PDFs, emails, and across the app.
- 3Manage your plan
Plan tab → see current plan, seat count, renewal date. Click Change plan to upgrade, downgrade, or contact sales for an enterprise plan.
- 4Configure access groups
Access groups tab → create or edit named permission bundles. Each group has 30+ toggles (taskAdd, projectView, paymentEdit, etc.). Assign groups when you invite teammates.
- 5Add API keys for AI
Integrations tab → AI keys → paste your OpenAI and/or Gemini API keys. The app uses your keys (not ours) so usage and billing stay with you. Without keys, AI features stay disabled.
- 6Tune AI instructions
AI instructions tab → for each AI feature (task summary, content draft, financial report, etc.) write a short prompt describing your brand voice. Stored per-company; some types also accept per-project overrides.
- 7Customize email and document templates
Templates tab → edit the email body sent with invoices, the look of the invoice PDF, estimation header/footer, and more. Use {{placeholders}} that get replaced at send time.
Tips
Two-factor auth and login security live under Account settings (your avatar → Account), not Company settings. Changing the company time zone after data is already in the system doesn't re-shift past dates — they stay in the zone they were entered in. Delete an access group only after reassigning its members; the UI blocks deletion otherwise.
Admin configuration
Most Settings tabs require the user to be an admin or company owner. Plan-level toggles (like `allowSocialPublishing`) are not editable here — they're managed by the super-admin in `/admin/plans`.
